Four New Bulletproof Ambulances Entering Service in Israel

AFMDA Story

Unfortunately, ambulances and other emergency vehicles in Israel are viewed as military like “targets of opportunity” by terrorists who open fire on passing ambulances. So, these four new MICUs have been bulletproofed to allow medical teams to safely work at scenes in high-risk areas and will protect the patients and MAGEN DAVID ADOM teams under fire.

These four new MICUs will serve the residents in and around the communities of Ariel, Efrat, Ofra and Karnei Shomron.

“Over the years we have witnessed serious events in and around the communities where these bulletproof MICUs have been stationed. These vehicles that now join MAGEN DAVID ADOM‘s fleet not only save patients’ lives, but also allow a safe work environment for our EMTs and paramedics who often face life-threatening field conditions.”
