Saving Lives in Israel

When Avishai Cohen was ready to be born, nothing would stop him. Not long ago he came into this world regardless of the fact that he was only six months into his gestation.

When Avishai started coming fast — really fast — his parents quickly called MAGEN DAVID ADOM’s 101 emergency hotline from their home. The emergency medical technician on the other end of the line dispatched a Mobile Intensive Care Unit ambulance to the scene while simultaneously instructing the couple on how to prepare for the baby’s arrival.

Naama’s Story

No one could believe it when the emergency call came in that a 6-year-old girl in Israel was having a stroke. And when Naama lost consciousness in the ambulance on the way to the hospital it looked like the worst was about to happen.

Why Christians Support Israel

Thank you for your support and your love for Israel. It has been said that there is no greater friend to the people of Israel than Christians. In order to understand that better, we sent out a survey.

When we asked thousands of Christians why they support MAGEN DAVID ADOM, here are some of the answers they gave:

Lifesaving Heroes

In May 2019, terrorists in Gaza fired 700 rockets into Israel, injuring over 100 people and killing five. This video is the story of some of the heroes who risked their own safety to save others.

A Little Girl’s Wish Comes True

A little girl in Israel just had the best day of her life — after having a whole lot of bad days.

When she was only 3-and-a-half years old, Zion Amit was diagnosed with leukemia. This meant she had to undergo a series of intense and difficult medical treatments.

A Thankful Mother Returned To Life

As we draw near to Thanksgiving in the United States, we wanted to share Omrit Israelovich Shefer’s story with you. She is a mother from western Israel, near the coast. Today she is feeling very thankful for you.

Just a few weeks ago she was in the middle of an aerobics training course in Netanya, Israel, when she suddenly went into cardiac arrest.

You Helped Save A 4-Year-Old Boy

This summer on a Saturday afternoon, Sarit Bar, a MAGEN DAVID ADOM EMT was relaxing at home in northern Israel. Her first responder app sounded, alerting her to a medical emergency nearby.

This cutting-edge app was developed in-house by MAGEN DAVID ADOM’s team of 45 programmers — in addition to alerting Sarit, the app geolocated the four other nearest first responders and also alerted them.

A Child Brought Back To Life

A few weeks ago in Jerusalem an energetic 6-year-old boy, Meir Itzkovitch, was playing with some friends from the neighborhood. He decided to try to climb up the wall of a building.

When Meir’s mother, Chaya, saw what he was doing, she called to him to stop and climb down. As she got closer, she discovered he was unconscious, holding an electric power pole. He was not breathing and had no pulse.

Chaya ran home with her son limp in her arms and dialed for help.
