It Was a Miracle

It Was a Miracle

It was a miracle.

On Wednesday evening, May 19, a barrage of 200 rockets was fired at a handful of cities in southern Israel — primarily Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netivot, Be’er Sheva, Rehovot, and Sderot.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., five of the projectiles landed in Sderot.

Three of the rockets damaged homes and property.

One of the rockets struck a home and landed in the room where a baby was sleeping.

The baby was unscathed.

When a television reporter from Israel’s Channel 20 arrived at the scene, he called it a miracle. During his live report, the cries of the still hysterical mother could be heard in the background.

As paramedics from MAGEN DAVID ADOM went door to door to search for the wounded, they did find and treat several who needed urgent medical care.

More than 4,500 rockets were fired into Israel during that deadly 11-day attack by terrorists in Gaza. Twelve people died. Hundreds were treated for serious injuries. But in Sderot at 7:20 p.m. on a Wednesday evening, a sleeping baby was unscathed after a direct hit. It was a miracle.

Your faithful support saves lives in Israel every day. And your prayers do even more still.

Thank you!
