From Dying to Saving Others!

Saving Lives in Israel

Two years ago, Eyal Tzur, 51, was training for a marathon when he suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed. It was a heart attack.

MAGEN DAVID ADOM’s Chaim Dagan, a senior EMT, performed CPR and restarted Eyal’s heart with a defibrillator. Eyal was evacuated to the hospital alive but in critical condition.

A year and a half later, Chaim was leading an information session for people interested in volunteering as EMTs and ambulance drivers. He asked if any had previous experience with MAGEN DAVID ADOM or had needed medical help themselves.

Eyal raised his hand. As he told his story, Chaim realized he was the one who had performed CPR on Eyal! Overcome with emotion, the two men hugged on stage.

Not long ago, Eyal graduated from the EMT course.

Thanks to the generosity of friends like you, Eyal went from the point of death to a place of giving and saving the lives of others.

Thank you!
