The Torah states in Leviticus 17:11 that life is in blood, and blood makes atonement for the soul. As a Christian, the theology contained in that verse and expounded upon in the New Testament is extremely vital. The Messiah of Israel gave his blood to make atonement for me; the least I can do to show gratitude to his nation is to reciprocate!
