MAGEN DAVID ADOM, Israel’s national Red Cross society, provides emergency medical and ambulance services for victims of terror, natural disasters, automobile accidents, and other emergencies in Israel, and is responsible for 97% of Israel’s national blood supply. It is at work saving lives in Israel every day.
“As Christians we are called not to live in a spirit of fear, but of a sound mind and love. There is no greater love we have for people on this Earth than the love we have for God’s chosen people.”
– Winston Parrish
MAGEN DAVID ADOM is the first line of defense for all medical emergencies across Israel, including the nation’s ambulance services. This weighty responsibility does not only include staffing and dispatching ambulances but sourcing them as well.
Without government funds to provide ambulances and medical supplies, Israel’s emergency medical services can only pray, and ask for help.
The cost to supply one Life Support Ambulance is $115,000, and one Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulance is $160,000.
Winston Parrish and family ministries Trinity Baptist Church and Ralph Sexton Ministries recently hosted a night for Israel event and raised enough to donate two brand-new ambulances and a Medicycle that will save up to 20,000 lives in Israel.
LIFE SUPPORT AMBULANCE
Life Support Ambulances are deployed thousands of times every day, transporting close to a million patients every year (and every year several hundred babies are delivered in ambulances). Ambulances on average have a 10-year service life and can save up to 10,000 lives in that time.
MICU AMBULANCE
Essentially an emergency room on wheels, Mobile Intensive Care Unit ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to care for the most critically injured patients and communicate their vital statistics en route to the hospital in real time, and are staffed by multiple paramedics and EMTs.
Some churches have run ambulance drives to raise money, others may set aside funds monthly, year-round, to help make a difference. There are many ways to help.
We would love to connect with you and your church/ministry about how you can donate an ambulance fully equipped with the medical equipment and supplies to save up to 10,000 lives in Israel.
